He started work as an architect but is well known for his colour fields of painting and his absalute passion for the colour red.

Geiger died in Munich on 6th December 2009

Govert Teuniszoon Flinck was born in Kleve the Dutch Republick on the 25th January 1615.

He was a painter urging the Dutch golden age and worked with the likes of Rembrandt who finished some of his work after his death.

Govert died in Amsterdam on 2nd February 1660.

Gillis van Coninxloo Was born in Antwerp on 24th January 1544

He was a Flemish landscape Painter

Gillis died in Amsterdam in January 1607

Édouard Manet was born in Paris on 23rd January 1832

A wealthy man and part of the Impressionist movement

Édouard died in Paris after having his leg removed, 30th April 1883

Moïse Kisling was born in Kracków Poland on 22nd January 1891

he moved to France at the age of 20 and eventually became friends with Picasso, he served in the French foreign Leigon bet had to leave France during WW2, he returner to France after the war.

Moïse died in Sanary-Sur-Mer in a residential area named father him on 29th April

Adriaen Van ber Werff was born in Kralingen Neverlands on 21st January 1659

He was a famous enough Dutch painter of erotic portraits, he had his own studio at the age of 17.

Adriaen  died in Rotterdam on 12th November 1722

Artist Birthday 20th January

Clarice Cliff was born in Tunstall S.O.Trent on 20th January 1899.

She started painting at an early age when visiting relatives who worked in the ceramics factories around Stoke on Trent, she would make papier-mâché-mâché models at school.

Clarice died suddenly on 23rd October 1972

Artist Birthday 19th January

Sophie Henriette Gertrude Taeuber-Arp was born in Davos Switzerland on 19th January 1889.

She was considered the leader in Geometric Art and she was involved in the Dada movement

Sophie died in Switzerland on 13th January 1943.
