He took up art tuition at the age of 12 and eventually moved to Italy to continue his work.

Cy died in Rome on 5th July 2011

Karel Appel was born in Amsterdam in the Netherlands on 25th April 1921

He started painting at the very early age of 14 and became one of the founder members of the movement Cobra in 1948.

Karel died in Zurich Switzerland on 3rd May 2006.

he was educated in art by his farther and he became one of the best painters of his time.

Leonardo Da Vinci or Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was born on 15th April 1452 in Vinci Florance . And died on 2nd May 1519 in Amboise.

Although he was known as a Polymath he is probably the most well known artist and in inventor known to the modern world to date, Leonardo covered virtually all mediums of his time and altered them to suit his needs.

Leonardo da Vinci wrote many manuscripts on subjects of Art and colour theory along with notes on war fair and biology.

He was well known for writing backwards so his letters could only be read in a miror.
